Course Handouts - Week Four

July 30 - August 2 The topics this week will include:

Monday: Classtime to finish outstanding Microsoft Office related assignments

Tuesday and Wednesday: We will be using the website Pixlr, which is a free website and is similiar to Photoshop.  It is found at the following web address:  http://pixlr.com/    Check out the Assignments posting for Week Four  assignment details. The following website: http://ictpublish.com/pixlr/ has detailed video tutorials on using this website (highly recommended).

Thursday: Introduction to web page construction (not as tricky as it sounds!)  - primarily using the Weebly website (or other similar site based on student's needs/preferences, consult instructor). This topic will continue into Week Five.    


Course Assignments - Week Three

Available for download are the assignments for the week are attached. Next Monday's class June 30) will be an opportunity to work on outstanding Microsoft Office (or similiar software/websites)  projects. The weeks projects include

  • A Microsoft Excel assignment (or other spreadsheet package, (e.g. Google Spreadsheet or Open Office, etc).
  • A Microsoft PowerPoint assignment (or other similar presentation package, e.g. Google Presentation or Open Office, etc.).

These assignments can be done individually or in a small group.  These should be submitted as an attachment to dcrofton@sd62.bc.ca or to dermottcrofton@gmail.com (or shared with dermottcrofton@gmail.com.
